The red wine Portugieser trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Heiko Strub has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blauer Portugieser from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Spicy aroma, some mint and juniper, almost Bordeaux-like in its spiciness, but with "lighter" fruit, raspberry, a hint of animal notes, mellow tannins, light to medium-bodied palate, mild acidity, a layer of suppleness leads into the finish, which is medium-bodied in length and intensity.
