The red wine Zweigelt/Merlot Principatus, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Liechtenstein has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt from the region Weinviertel in Austria.
Dark ruby, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose intense black berry fruit, with blackberry confit, a hint of liquorice, and nice fine oak spiciness. Round and harmonious on the palate, with delicate nougat, elegant rounded tannins, subtle vanilla, some minerality and persistence, and with ripe cherry flavours on the finish. It is gluggable, and serious at the same time. It is a cuvée of Zweigelt and Merlot.
