The red wine Clante S.G.D.V. Toscana IGT, vintage 2015 from the winery Il Borghetto has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, medium intensity garnet. Opens with fine savoury notes, hints of white pepper and wild thyme, then juicy blackberry and cherry. Grippy, firm and slightly coarse tannins which build well on the palate and lots of sweet texture. Still seems very young and needs more time to mature.
