The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2009 from the winery Il Marroneto has been rated in 2014 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Brunello di Montalcino in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby with a slightly light rim. Very fine, intense nose, shows notes of ripe plums and cherries, inviting. Firm tannin, builds well, hearty and firm, full and gripping on the finish, salty, still needs some ageing.
