The Red Wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Il Marroneto has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Toscana in Italy.
Bright, medium density ruby red. Opens with pronounced savoury notes of thyme and cardamom, then lots of juicy sour cherry. Present fruit on the palate with juicy fruit, then drops off somewhat on the finish, brittle tannin in the aftertaste.
