The Red Wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Il Marroneto has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Toscana in Italy.
It has a bright medium dense ruby red colour. It opens with pronounced spicy aroma notes of thyme and cardamom, then lots of juicy sour cherry. It has vivid juicy fruit on the palate, then it drops off somewhat on the finish, and has some brittle tannins on the back palate.
