The sweet and dessert wine Epokale Spätlese Gewürztraminer Südtirol DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Kellerei Tramin has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Intense, rich light gold colour with a flint core. Strong and intensely fragrant nose of rose petals, ripe yellow peach, some banana, nutmeg, milk chocolate, with a finish of dried apricot and coconut flakes. Beautifully balanced on the palate, with a radiant sweet core, savoury smooth texture, elegant creaminess and enormous length.
