Tasting from 03.02.2022: Anne Krebiehl

This wine is the decisive foray into premium bottlings by the 1941-founded Koelenhof. A lovely sense of melted candlewax and cold charcoal accompanies dark berry fruit – more blueberry than cassis. The palate is concentrated and shows even more of that smoky charcoal as well as warm, concentrated fruit. The tannins are dense and ripe, providing a sturdy frame for all the fruit. The finish is smooth and long.
