The red wine Ago Nizza Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery La Gironda has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with a slight garnet edge. Clearly shows ripe notes on the nose, of plum confit, caramel and rum-steeped fruit. The palate is clearly marked by wood, also there is emphasised ripe fruit notes, as well as clearly drying tannins.
