The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Lambardi has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, flint ruby red. Slightly cloudy nose of sealing wax, porcini mushrooms, raspberries and underbrush, plus notes of cold black tea. Medium-bodied, juicy palate, showing clear red fruit, but then becomes a bit loosely knit and rough on the back end.
