The red wine Maximus Amarone della Valpolicella, vintage 2012 from the winery Lavarini has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Intense dark ruby red with a light garnet rim. Pronounced nose of coconut and bourbon vanilla, only in the background are there subtle dark fruit notes. Very great freshness paired with clear fruit on the palate, juicy and salty, unfolding nicely from the opening, and finishing very slightly dry.
