The red wine Badnerberg, vintage 2011 from the winery Leo Aumann has been rated in 2014 with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties St. Laurent, Merlot from the region Thermenregion in Austria.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, slightly watery rim. Black berry fruit underlaid with fine nougat, discreet hints of liquorice and cassis, pleasant fine oak spice, with a hint of dried fruit underneath. Very powerful, dark fruit, very vivid tannins, fine chocolate on the finish, it still needs time, a potent food wine, it has sure development potential.
