The red wine Zweigelt CS Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Leo Aumann has been rated in 2018 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Thermenregion in Austria.
This has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of lovely blackberry notes underlaid with oak spiciness, as well as subtle cassis fruit, and a hint of meadow herbs, it is a somewhat restrained bouquet. On the palate it is juicy, with a fresh structure, black cherry fruit, tobacco, and chocolate on the aftertaste. It is a lovely food wine.
