Tar and earth are the first notions on the nose, followed by sumptuous blueberry fruit. The palate, powerful and bold, then reveals a lovely purity of ripe blueberry, framed by notions of pine forest, vanilla and very dense, fine, ripe tannins supported by both alcoholic strength and freshness. There is something touching about the purity of that fruit. AK
