The red wine Commendator Enrico Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Lornano has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dense ruby red with limited transparency. Nose of ripe strawberry and cherry, some sour cherry, toasted hazelnut, liquorice, wet wood and ground coffee. Spreads across the palate with fine fruit expression, carried by lively acidity and fine-grained tannin, a touch of amarena cherry, slightly drying on the finish.
