The red wine Buiano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castellina DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Marchesi Antinori has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region San Casciano in Val di Pesa in Italy.
Brilliant dark ruby red colour with a fine purple tinge. Inviting and fragrant nose, predominantly floral, violets, roses, then juicy cherry fruit, cornell cherry, underpinned by fine dark savoury flavours. Present and compact on the palate, with tightly woven tannins, shows a lot of drive and substance, still young, will develop excellently, still needs some patience.
