Tasting Notes
Strong ruby, purple reflections, broader ochre rim. A hint of fig, delicate noble wood savouriness, dark fruit notes, candied orange zest, ripe plum fruit. Juicy, complex, sweet and accessible, ripe, round tannins, fine herbal savouriness in the aftertaste, very long, mineral, chocolate and dried figs on the finish, a sturdy food wine.
More about the tastingThis wine is the traditional Rioja classic par excellence. Almost impetuously fruity, fleshy fruit, citrus, spicy bread, full-bodied in the mouth, yet rich in finesse and almost slender thanks to its considerable acidity, can age for decades. A better price-performance ratio is hardly imaginable.
