Wood and varietal spices vie for dominance on the nose, with notes of vanilla cream, aniseed buns, liquorice and brioche. The palate is powerful, but also structured by extract, with a melting texture and fullness, but also structure and freshness. The concentrated fruit on the finish reflects the ripeness of the grapes. Mineral notes too. Ideal with sophisticated poultry dishes, truffle dishes and sweetbreads.
