The red wine A Quo, vintage 2018 from the winery Montepeloso has been rated in 2021 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Marselan, Alicante from the region Maremma in Italy.
Dark shining ruby garnet. On the nose there's slight reduction note, which after aeration develops into graphite, cooked cherries, very ripe raspberries, plums and some bitter almond. On the palate it's emphatically savoury with pithy tannins in support, creating bread and juicy tension.
