Tasting from 05.11.2005

Pale yellow-green. Initially smoky on the nose, almost somewhat reductive, mineral spice, green lime rind, with a subtle sweetness hovering above the herbal spice. Very delicate and filigree on the palate, presents itself light and dry, carried by a finesse-rich acidity, does not last too long now. Over the years, an amazing metamorphosis will take place in the bottle: The color will darken to a deep gold, the wine will gain in aroma and depth of flavor. Notes of lanolin, oilskin and toast are typical of mature Semillons of this type.
