The orange wine Lunar, vintage 2018 from the winery Movia has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Rebula from the region Goriška Brda in Slovenia.
Intense cloudy orange, yellow hints, brassy reflections. Hints of bergamot zest, ripe mango, candied tangerine zest, mineral notes and a fine herbal savouriness, but needs some air. Juicy and taut, white apple, mineral, fresh acidity with subtle nutty rancio nuances and a touch of salt on the lasting finish. Light on its feet but with mineral length, this is an enjoyable classic example of the international orange wine scene.
