The orange wine Veliko Belo, vintage 2018 from the winery Movia has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris from the region Goriška Brda in Slovenia.
Medium, slightly cloudy golden yellow in colour with amber reflections. On the nose, aromas of candied orange zest, hints of honeydew melon, stone fruit and lime, mineral with fine herbal spices. The complex palate is taut, with discreet fruit, finessed acidity, subtle tannins, that dry the palate well, and a lingering saline-mineral, slightly citric finish. A classy wine with the potential for further ageing.
