From 18-year-old vines grown on granitic soils, this is an incredibly fragrant Syrah, redolent of rose petals, blood and vivid mulberry, trailed by a touch of smoke. The palate is powerful but totally toned, every muscle is defined. Even deeper, darker fruit emanates from the core, yet despite power and a certain wilderness, this is totally elegant. Most seductive.
