Subtle notes of reduction - flinty and smoky - hover on the nose. More air presents smoky plum, almost with a touch of hoi-sin, cedar and conifer. Very fine tannins show a fine grip on the supple palate that also has a touch of alcoholic heat. This has all the structure, fruit and freshness it needs, along with aromatic finesse, but it needs bottle age. Drink from 2028.
