The red wine Don Anselmo Aglianico del Vulture Superiore DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Paternoster has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Basilicata in Italy.
Dark ruby red with purple reflections and a brightening rim. Dried dark fruits such as plums and cherries, beeswax, sage and milk chocolate on the nose, very complex and a maggi herb finish. Elegant and straightforward on the palate, fine tannins and good acidity, ending with blood orange on the long finish.
