The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Poggio Amorelli has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
Dark luminous ruby red. On the nose there are delicately kitschy hints at the beginning, after some time in the glass notes of malt and ripe red berries, roasted hazelnuts, toast as well as pickled cherry. On the palate it is coated by perceptible oak use, substantial, ripe, hearty fruit, on the finish unfortunately currently still strongly dominated by oak.
