The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Altero DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Poggio Antico has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Concentrated ruby with a slight garnet sheen. Opens with notes of leather and dried porcini mushroom, blackberry and cherry confit. Round and supple on the palate, showing lots of ripe fruit, raspberry, blackberry, the whole range, opens with polished, fine tannin, showing lots of layers, rich finish.
