The white wine »vogelfrei« Grauer Burgunder Landwein trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Poss has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Nahe in Germany.
A black tea colour with brownish undertones. Fragrant, quite Pinot berry-like with hints of rosehip. Mealy phenolics in high quantity, drive, also a creamy foundation, mild acidity, poised, ripe and round and a very good palate structure. Gripping tannic finish.
More about the tastingThe skin-fermented Pinot Gris can pass as a light red wine with its light red colour with brown reflections and the aroma of almond, cherry and strawberry. Its fine tannin structure adds tension to the pronounced taste.
