The red wine Douro tinto, vintage 2018 from the winery Quinta do Vale Dona Maria has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points.
Black cherry, bitter chocolate and pepper on the nose. Silky smooth and fine in the mouth, with a supple, mineral base, carried by a lively acidity, juiciness and minerality keeps the alcohol in check. Due to its finesse, the wine already seems ready to drink, but it will certainly be able to grow-up very well and for a very long time.
