The red wine Mezza Torre X, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Kummer-Schuster has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Burgenland in Austria.
It has a deep ruby colour, with ochre reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of ripe red wild berry confit, with a hint of cassis in the background, some mandarin zest, and a fine spicy touch. It is juicy, with good complexity, ripe cherry, fine tannins, good length, a hint of caramel, and a salty minerality on the finish. It has certain ageing potential.
