The red wine Merlot FCO DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Ronchi di Sant'Egidio has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points.
Clear, intense ruby with violet glints. Somewhat unclear nose, opens with slightly savoury notes, some smoke, but the fruit remains hidden. On the palate medium weight, well-made, hearty tannin towards the finish, a little rough.
