The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Grande Reserve, vintage 2009 from the winery Rotweingut Prickler has been rated in 2013 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby red, an opaque core, purple hues, a subtle brightening on the rim. Inviting notes of black berry fruit, hints of chocolate and spices, candied orange zest. Juicy, balanced, with well-integrated tannins, pronounced fruit notes, some nougat on the finish, sweet dark fruit in the aftertaste.
