Deep, dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. Pleasant savoury oak aromas, hints of cardamom and vanilla, dark berries and sweet plums, underlaid with a touch of nougat. Powerful on the palate with pleasant fruit expression, sweet ripe cherries, well-integrated ripe tannins that carry for a long time and chocolate notes on the persistent finish. Still very youthful overall, with definite further ageing potential.
