The red wine Valtellina Superiore Sforzato DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Rupi del Nebbiolo has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nebbiolo from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Bright garnet with ruby core. Opens with notes of cinnamon and cinchona bark, followed by plenty of cherry and strawberry fruit. The initial palate shows rich cherry fruit, but then opens with harsh drying tannin, showing a warm alcoholic finish.
