The red wine Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Rupi del Nebbiolo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Bright garnet red with ruby reflections. Rich cherries and ripe plums on the nose, a touch of cinnamon and a hint of forest floor on the finish, needs some air. Sweet and fruity on the palate, lots of ripe cherries, with fine-grained tannins, quite alcoholic, becomes somewhat bitter in the finish.
