The red wine Ô de Novi, vintage 2016 from the winery Saint Jean du Noviciat has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Grenache from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
First ripe in the nose, liquorice, nougat and truffle, Amarena cherry, garrigue and raisin. Viscous attack, mellow tannins, powerful alcohol, rich and broad on the palate, with ripe acidity and a complex finish. A wildly savoury, demanding, very powerful red that needs a meal like oxtail ragout or cassoulet.
