The red wine Il Quercione Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery San Felice Toscana A.D. 714 has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
It has a hearty ruby red colour. There are very spicy aromas on the nose, with barrel oakiness, ink, lots of balsamic, black amarena cherry, and tar. On the palate it has very dark fruit, unfolding richly and powerfully over the tongue, with a slightly alcoholic edge. It is young and still needs time in the bottle.
