Medium ruby garnet, clear ochre rim. Underlaid with delicate tobacco nuances, a hint of red berry jam, delicate licorice, a hint of cassis, probably a little more Cabernet in the cuvée. Dark berry fruit on the palate, robust, well-integrated tannins, delicately chocolaty on the finish, mineral, dark spice on the finish, a timeless style. (63,500 bottles; drink/store +15)
