The red wine Merlot Gemma dell'Est, vintage 2017 from the winery Tenuta Agricola Luigina has been rated in 2020 by Dominik Vombach, Benjamin Herzog with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
Intense, and rather dark fruited on the nose with aromas of plum and cranberry, as well as notes of paprika and spices such as pepper. The palate is elegant with cherry notes and noticeable but ripe tannins. Very long-lasting, with a mineral touch. A great Merlot with great potential for ageing.
