The red wine Merlot Gemma dell’Est, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta Agricola Luigina has been rated in 2019 by Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
Intense fruit on the nose, with sour cherry, cranberry and plum. Plus some red bell peppers and spicy notes of clove and pepper. On the palate it is surprisingly light, dark, almost black aromatics and beguiling fruit. Seems elegant, slightly noticeable tannin.
