The red wine Giramonte, vintage 2012 from the winery Tenuta di Castiglioni has been rated in 2017 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby with gentle garnet sheen. Very open accessible nose with lots of ripe fruit, full of plum and blackberry, subtle spicy notes in the background. On the palate, robust, powerful tannins, unfolding in many layers, fine texture, full of blackberry in the aftertaste, some tobacco.
