The red wine Giramonte Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta di Castiglioni has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dense, almost impenetrable ruby, with purple. Opens on the nose with emphatically spicy and somewhat cool notes of cardamom and white pepper, then lots of blueberry. Blossoms richly on the palate with lots of vivid, intense berry fruit, and opens with fine-meshed tannin that is clear and precise. Dark chocolate on the long finish.
