The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta Il Poggione has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, flint ruby. Impressive and vivid nose, full of ripe plums, cherries and also blackberries, in the background some leather and liquorice. Juicy and firm on the palate, opens with grippy, gripping tannin, profound, has firm drive on the finish.
