Die Trauben für diesen, für uns wichtigen Wein kommen aus zwei, am Hang gelegenen Parzellen in Gudo, einem Stadtteil von Bellinzona am rechten Ufer des Flusses Ticino. Die nach Süden ausgerichteten Rebstöcke profitieren von der optimalen Sonneneinstrahlung sowie vom sehr spezifischen Mikroklima. Die besten Voraussetzungen für die Herstellung großartiger Weine. Darüber hinaus herrscht im Weinberg an der Costa Piatta stetig eine leichte Brise aus den Tälern, welche den Reben hilft, die jahreszeitbedingten Klimaveränderungen gut zu bewältigen.
