The red wine La Gelsomina Etna Rosso DOC from the winery Tenute Orestiadi has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Cappuccio from the region Sicily in Italy.
Clear ruby with a light garnet edge. Opens with notes of redcurrant and pomegranate, but in between also notes of undergrowth and mushrooms. Gripping tannins, however, the palate appears closed for much of the course, finishes brittle.
