The red wine Scalunera Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Torre Mora has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, brightening ruby red. Slightly fleshy nose of ripe, rich sweet cherries, with a slight aftertaste of black truffle. On the palate there is a certain juiciness and crisp tannins, noticeable use of oak with a mineral finish.
