Bright ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Opens with a bouquet of spices, lots of clove, cardamom and bay leaf, then dark blackberry fruit, some dark olive paste. Characterised by grippy tannins on the palate, fine cherry fruit, but quite rough and drying on the finish.
