Shiny intense ruby red. The nose opens up with notes of beeswax and sandalwood, some varnish, followed by hints of rose petal and cherry jam. The approach on the palate is beautifully expressive fruit, sadly followed by slightly harsh drying tannins, pronounced oak spice on the finish.
