The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Villa Buonasera has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti in Italy.
Bright ruby red with discreetly brightening rim. On the nose there is oak savouriness, compact cherry fruit, a touch of graphite, in the echo discreet notes of sealing wax and candle wax, also shows fine minty tones. Pithy on the palate with tight tannin, has power and vigour throughout, old school, though well made. Best decanted first.
