The red wine Maserino Rosso Montello Rosso DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Villa di Maser has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Veneto in Italy.
It has a deep dark ruby red colour. Initially there is a gentle nose of mint, ripe cassis, and subtle blackberry fruit, with subtle hints of cold smoke. On the palate there is a beautiful juiciness with vivid dark berry fruit, and it is underpinned by a pleasant spiciness. It is medium-bodied, with slightly broad tannins on the finish.
